Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Management Couple to oversee the day-to-day operations of a luxury lodge located within a private game reserve. Key Responsibilities
Lodge Manager
- Manage guest reservations, check-ins, and check-outs.
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate special occasions and personalised guest experiences.
- Supervise, schedule, and manage lodge staff.
- Oversee leave administration and staff-related documentation.
- Conduct site inspections and host visiting agents.
- Manage lodge administration and financial records.
- Monitor financial transactions and ensure accurate record keeping.
- Oversee stock control, consumables, and lodge assets.
- Ensure the lodge is maintained to the highest standards at all times.
Game Ranger
- Conduct daily guided game drives.
- Host and engage with guests throughout their stay.
- Oversee property maintenance and lodge upkeep.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
- Maintain gardens and outdoor areas.
- Ensure all lodge facilities are well maintained and operational.
Minimum Requirements
Lodge Manager
- Hospitality Management Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in lodge management, preferably within a 4 or 5-star environment.
- Strong leadership, administration, financial management, HR, and guest relations experience.
- Knowledge of front office, housekeeping, and food & beverage operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Experience using NightsBridge and online booking platforms will be advantageous.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead by example.
Game Ranger
- FGASA Level 2 (NQF4) qualification preferred.
- ARH Competency.
- Valid First Aid Certificate.
- Trails Guide qualification with VPDA.
- Rifle accreditation.
- Experience conducting guided game drives.
- Knowledge of lodge maintenance and property upkeep.
- 4×4 off-road driving experience.
- Astronomy knowledge will be advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and provide exceptional guest experiences.
